As an Area Governor you have an exciting opportunity to increase your leadership, speaking, administrative, and motivational skills. This position is not only an opportunity, it is a challenge. As a district leader, you must stimulate enthusiasm and accomplish goals by motivating volunteers.

You are a valuable part of your district and a key player on your district team. Your position as area governor is important to the success of the district as it strives to fulfill its mission and become a Distinguished District.

One key to success is to keep your Club members informed. You can do this through Club visits, area council meetings, phone calls and via email. When visiting, be prepared to give a 'mini' educational session on a topic of importance: DCP, contests, training, the Educational System, etc.
